You can reach The Duke of Marlborough Hotel:
By Car: 3½ hours drive from Auckland via Opua Car Ferry.
Alternatively via the fully sealed Old Russell Road following the scenic coastline (20 km after Whangarei turn left to Oakura). Add 30 min to your normal trip.
By Air: Nearest airports are Whangarei,a one hour drive south of Russell;
or Kerikeri 40 minutes to the north. Rental cars are available at both airports and there
is a transfer coach service from Kerikeri to Paihia.
By Ferry: A short passenger ferry journey across
the Bay from Paihia.
By Coach: Regular coach services from Auckland
serve the Bay of Islands. Tour operators also offer an exciting
and varied range of tours.
